and this is why I don't mind driving in the snow and ice.  Wait till everyone else gets stuck in their homes and then I'll go to the store.  Only problem I have is apparantly there is a good chance I won't be allowed to go to work tomorrow. Or at least I won't get paid for it if I do.

Do you really go to the track? I have been thinking about having a TulsaNow meetup there...

Absolutely.  It's huge and has huge beers.  You can watch smokers like they're zoo animals.

Sad. I don't usually have to go to work but once a month, and sometimes less.

(I'm sad, not you ;))

It is sleeting freakishly hard at my house. Mixed with snow

Looks like a good crappy movie and slow cooker day.

we vs us

I can't tell you about the main roads, but getting out of the neighborhoods ain't easy.  The snow is high enough in some places here in midtown to swamp your tires, if you're driving a car (vs an SUV), and I've watched several cars spin out and get stuck.

I had ONE more day till I got the mural I am working on done so that I could get paid.  I just don't think I am gonna be able to make it all the way up to north Owasso to finish it today.  Especially now that I don't have the Murano.  That Murano could run circles in the snow around most everything else.  With the slow economy and me trying to start the Art Deco Museum, I thought it wise to downsize, and right now I have a little Ford Ranger.  That thing goes into a tailspin if it drizzles lol.  I may be stuck in this house all week!  :o

I think there is more snow in my driveway than I have ground clearance.

Jeesh, there is a snowdrift on my back patio that is already over 2 feet high.

2 feet? Hah, that's nothing. I have snow up to my windows on 2 sides of the house. I couldn't open my back door, and could barely squeeze a shovel through my front screen door to brush away enough of the snow to squeeze out and make it passable. It appears that out in the street it's only about 12", but I'm looking at the downwind side of the cars. There also appear to be fools driving (or trying to) around in it...

No one has been down my street all morning, no traffic at all.

My office is technically open, which makes no sense, but I am working from home on the laptop today.

The good news is I made it to the office today...the bad news is I made it to the office today.
