That expensive network of traffic cameras on the highways leading into Tulsa (that are supposed to show traffic conditions) only seem to work in good weather.

I clicked on many of them and they all seemed to work fine.  Did I misunderstand?

I say keeps schools closed until monday. With the warmers temps coming to help melt this, spend between now and then getting everything cleared and cleaned up. Bad part about this is it's only mid February and still have a few more months of winter left. I remember us getting some pretty good snow storms in March and April.

39 days to Spring.  Keep warm thoughts.

All these downtown eateries closing should at least have the balls to say they're closing because of either lack of customers or general employee laziness. This "safety" excuse is BS. Especially as it applied last night, to businesses closing hours before the first flurries fell.

This snow is nothing. The governor of Pennsylvania was right. We are a nation of pussies.

Same here.  One angle from 51/169 is occluded with snow, the rest are fine.

We got about 5-6 inches north of the river in Bixby.

Good, when the alignment on my car needs done, I'll send my bill to your 'non-pussy' address.    :o

I say if you have the ability to work from home (I do) then don't compound the problem and be one of many horrible Oklahoma snow drivers.

Just sayin'.

*sigh*  Now they are working.  The system was down this morning.

About like ZYX said, 5 to 6".  After shoveling the walk and back porch, I made a test run from my house to 111th & Memorial and back.  There had been enough traffic to pack most of the new snow so I didn't have a clearance problem.  Good thing I had traction control and front wheel drive though.  The car was frequently pointed somewhere other than where I intended.

Did you get out of town?

Edit:
Forgot to say the snow drifted directly on the sidewalk from the front door to the driveway again.  This time it was only about 12" deep.

If you weren't so picky you wouldn't know the alignment was out and wouldn't notice until the tires were trashed.  Then you wouldn't know whether to blame it on the snow storm or just general rotten Tulsa roads.   ;D
