30 days just like the tag. Though take the birth certificate just in case, you should be able to renew anywhere. I renewed at the one at 91st and lewis about 60 days late just had to have the birth certificate.
Thank you,
Robert Town

Anyone know what sort of a PITA it is to get a motorcycle endorsement?  Yeah, I don't have the endorsement. Some years ago, I made an attempt and seem to remember some ridiculous scheduling issues.  When I got my last bike insured, the agent, while not insistent, was interested in having my endorsement on record.  I started to ask around - turns out that nobody I know who rides actually has an endorsement either.

I got the endorsement about 12 or 13 years ago.  As I recall, I believe I had to take a brief written test at the Jenks DPS office.  Once you have it, it's there for life, FAIK.  Mine is still on my license.  I'm not really sure what kind of hassle you will get if you are stopped on the bike w/o it.

From what I understand, you have to schedule a riding test at one of the 'special' facilities now as well.  The kicker is how do I ride a bike up there to test if I don't have the endorsement...

No.  And prepare to jump through hoops to get one now that you've let it expire.  You'll have to gather up your 'papers', go to one of the big two ODOT DL places (one on 36th St N or there's a new one over in the old Eastland Mall) and get it there.

Unless they've changed it since one of my co-workers last year lamented on how it took him about 4 hours to get all this done.  It may well help you though that you found this out in the middle of the month as opposed to the first week.

But as far a 'grace period' for an expired license, it doesn't work the same as a tag.  You get penalties assessed on a tag one month after the expiration, but no grace from a PoPo if he/she wishes to ticket you for it.  There's no monetary penalty for letting your license expire unless the officer feels like writing you up for an expired license.  So it will cost the same.  $21..unless THAT'S been increased as well; I haven't gotten a new license since 2009 and mine won't expire until 2013.

The 36th St. N. location is closed.   It moved to W. 21st out past the trash burning facility.
Trust but verify

I know there is someone who rents trucks for the CDL exam but not aware there's a driving exam office, if it moved there, it must not be well marked as I go by there at least once a week.

I thought you got 30 days to not have to provide additional documentation for a license renewal.

Edited to add: Either way, it looks like if you have a birth certificate, you can go to any of the tag agents on this list to do the renewal. If you don't, you've got to go to the examination station.

Yes, there is the 30 days grace, but not with the Cops!  I went to 91st & Sheridan (thought it was 101st), early yesterday morning, and no hassles. Cost me a whopping $21.50 ;D  I took my passport just in case, but there was no need.  They're really nice at that agency and it's fun to read all the WWII news that's up on the wall, and look over memorabilia while waiting.

So now you all know how it works :-*

I found that out to last time I waited to get my car tag. She asked me if I got pulled over or got a ticket. Told her no. She said the grace period was with them but not the police.

Oklahoma  DL re-newing is easy there is no eye test or nothing, just pay the fee, if it's expired I don't know what happens in Oklahoma every state is different. In Ohio we have to take an eye test at every renewal and if it's expired more than 6 months you have to take the whole testing process over. Last year I turned in my Ohio license in for a Oklahoma license and it really did not take that long at all. I went to the Eastland mall place. The bad thing is you have to then drive over to another office to get the picture taken and license issued.

Approximately six months of the expire date of the licence a Notice of Novice Driver's Licence Expiry will be mailed to the driver to the last address registered on the ministry's database. This notice will detail the level achieved, and what options the driver has to re-qualify or exit the graduated licensing system.
