Can you check out a digital camera at the library, or do you think they've got a scanner he can use to scan the images from his Kodak Instamatic 110 pocket Brownie camera?

I had a Kodak Brownie camera when I was a kid.  I think it took VP127 film.  I remember about 8 pictures per roll.

He may not be able to come within 2000 feet of a Brownie.

I did a 4-mile run Friday afternoon and the white marks end where the new pavement ends just north of the I-44 underpass.. Maybe they are marks for speed training I never used them for that.. I was just wondering about 'em.. Surprise Surprise I did find a parking spot at the 41st street lot on Friday afternoon went for a run at 5:pm and yep, the trail was busy.. It's about time the warmer weather arrived.. I plan to get out there this evening and do some more running, have to enjoy the warm weather when you got it... it was a long cold winter. OKC is working on a connecting trail system to connect with the 9-mile trail loop around Lake Hefner, the trails follow streams in the OKC area.. I know  Tulsa has other trails but most are short  small loops in parks, the Sand Springs trail is not bad but it has alot of street crossings, I favor the idea of building a full trail on the west bank of the Arkansas River  that  is a no-brainer let's do that.  JMO. :-\

maps.google.com with the bicycling layer turned on works, too.

Google shows a trail forking off the east bank trail about 70-something-th street heading northeast along Joe Creek. Is that really there? Never noticed it. I know there's a 90-degree turn there at the water fountain. The map makes it look like you'd have to scamper across Riverside to get to that trail.

Kraut...I ran the northern section of the Riverpark trails a couple of times last week and attempted to make some rhyme and/or reason out of the turtles/birds and such painted along the concrete border. I'm sure someone knows what they represent (hobo hieroglyphics perhaps)...but I couldn't figure it out.

I was out at Riverparks this weekend around 21st.  I noticed all the stripes have gone from white to brown.  Was that intentional?

If you are speaking of the lane striping that defines/devides the wheels or feet lanes those have always been a reflective goldish color.

I guess I recalled them lighter.  I know some areas are white so that was what prompted my question.  On a bright day you couldn't even see the lane dividers that divide the pedestrian side from the cycling side or the lane dividers within the cycling lane.  What is the thought on going that route with the colors?

Actually it's a painted mark that looks like a "sickle" and is located on the western curb of the jogging trail- (gravel path)  Some of theose "sickle" marks are blue, and others are green, perhaps some runners club put them there for some sort marking system. As for the white square marks I guess they are marks for speed training like another poster mentioned. I did a quick run Monday evening and not many people were on the trail.

I wondered the same thing the markings don't show up well and they never did as far as I can remember they always were brownish in color  (on top of black pavement). Why they did not make them white or yellow I don't know, plus the strong UV rays of the sun works to fade the colors even more. The Olentangy bike/jog trail in Columbus, Ohio is marked with a bright white line in the center (like a highway), and runners keep to the right side of that line, oncoming traffic is on the other side. There is no sepreate path for runners or bikes on that trail, both have to share it.

the paint is easier on your ocular faculties than bright white refective paint.
