Mystery solved kraut. Took my Garmin out for my 8 miler this morning. Blue symbols are marked every 0.25 mile...green symbols every 0.50 mile. There are some red bird symbols...but I didn't see them regularly enough. Maybe every mile?

OK now we know! Thanks!!  Funny they don't tell the people what the marks are for. Someone had to put the marks there for a reason.  I never seen any "red" marks either unless they did not put them on yet or they are on other trails.  :D

Looks like that new trail section is about to open up soon. I hope they expand the parking area too, when that lot at 41st is full I have to go down to the 71st street lot for parking. I know they have a parking area at 31st across the street form the jogging trail but I heard there is alot of car break-ins in that area, so I don't like to park there.

Yes Maple Ridge is a really rough area, you should avoid it.

That would be the lot by the skate park on the west side of the 21st St. bridge.

Here is the INCOG trails map: http://www.incog.org/transportation/trailguide/trailsmap.pdf
Finding a place to park to use other trails is a bear, I could not any parking for the Mingo Trail except for a tiny lot just east of that Sutherlands lumber yard on 21st street. I have ran at the gravel trail loop on 31st & Garnette just east of Harps in back of the firehouse, most of the time I run at Riverside.

Which one is target rich? At 71st & Riverside or the 31st street lot? I have seen alot of broken car window glass in the 31st street lot so that means people had cars broken into over there.

I don't believe Maple Ridge extends as far south as 71st St.

OK ~I never heard of Maple Ridge. Tulsa has a bunch of neighborhood names. I live in Val-Charles and I don't have a clue to how far that extends. Anyhoo, The weather report for the holiday weekend said to be super, a great day to hit the trails. :D

I actually work with someone who has lived in Tulsa all their life and didn't know what I meant when I said Maple Ridge.  They'd heard of it but didn't know where it was.  I was shocked.

I never heard of Maple Ridge. They do say the area between I-44 to 61st and Riverside Drive to Peoria has alot of crime. I hardly know of any Tulsa neighbors except for Carbondale, and two or three others and Val Charles where I live- I have not a clue what the next neighborhood to mine is called. The weekend was a windy one on RiverSide Trail if anyone was out there running, the wind was screaming up from the South, cyclists had a hard time peddling South against the wind.
