I need a plumber

I have always lived in older houses and am in constant need of people to fix stuff. I have a tool box, but it is just full of different size sticks that I poke stuff with before declaring, "Yep. It's broke."

This time I need a new plumber.

I have a clogged drain in the upstairs shower and a million other tasks. I want all the drains checked and maybe cleaning. I want my septic system checked out. I want my lawn sprinkler system looked at. I want my pool equipment looked at. I want to install new faucets and a toilet in a bathroom. I want to move my washer to a different wall.

I have hired all the big companies in town and they sometimes send the smart guy, but sometimes we get the idiot. Most importantly, they all send a different person to do each job and charge by the drain.

I want a smart generalist plumber who will just charge me a fair hourly rate.

Does this guy (or gal) exist?

For all the work you want done, maybe you should become a plumber yourself. You could probably recover the cost of the school.

RM, being an owner of several different sized sticks myself, I learned a long time ago that I wasn't as competent on some projects as I thought I was, certainly so after I kept coming up with parts that were left over.
I have used Mullins Plumbing and Air for years, and been extremely satisfied with the work.   Also, I learned that you get what you pay for, the hard way.
For some time, I used my former proctologist,  who gave up that profession and went into plumbing because of higher financial rewards, but he has since retired.

Yes. I have used Mullins a few times. They were OK but send different people out each time and charge a lot. I have also tried all the other big local plumbing companies including, Allied, Williams and Roto Rooter.

I need something else this time.

I PM'd you a plumbing reference.

Have you tried calling them and explaining everything you want done, and that you want it done all at once?  I will PM you a guy who does side work that works for Roto Rooter.  Has done work for my wife and I, and my family for years.  He would only be able to do it in the evenings or weekends, but knows his stuff and I am sure could help you out.

The Chambers are good people.

It's been some time since I used these fellows.
Can't say I would recommend them. But they sure put in a lot of effort, for very little results.
Changing opinions one mistake at a time.

I think he just wants some crack.
