Lawn service company - mowing

If you have someone mowing your lawn (company), who do you use?

I need someone who is reliable.  I don't like the two guys working my neighbourhood.  One does an okay job, but it depends on his mood, and the other has turned out to be a con man :o  A couple of my elderly neighbours reported missing items from their garage after each of his visits!  I guess he thinks they're too old to notice? ::)

Pardon my insensitivity, but why not mow it yourself?  Gives you the chance to get out and enjoy nature just that much more.  You are doing a bunch of gardening aren't you?  Planting plants, etc.  I know you get help with the heavy work (I do too), but mowing isn't that physically demanding, except for pulling the cord to get the thing started (electric start!), or you let it go too long between mowing.

Plus there is a certain satisfaction to the whole process - watching the progress of turning a mildly ragged looking growth of various plants turn into a smooth surface of green.  Along with some good exercise.

In a non-answer to your question;  I don't know anyone to help with that.  Sorry.

I don't share my thoughts because I think it will change the minds of people who think differently.  I share my thoughts to show the people who already think like me that they are not alone.

I don't have any advice for mowing.  I've always mowed my own.  For some reason it is one of those tasks I just can't let go of.  However, if you are looking to make it grow I can recommend Lawn America.  They have done great work for me at both of my houses.

Why don't you do any number of things that you can do yourself but really don't want to?  Sorry, but I can't stand mowing the lawn.  If I could afford to pay someone else I would never mow my own.  Luckily I currently live in an apartment so I don't have to worry about it.  Hopefully by the time I can afford a house again I can afford to pay someone to do that which I really don't want to do (allergies don't help either)

You're not being insensitive.  I should have added more about why I needed someone but I was in a hurry.

We usually mow our own lawn, but will be away for several weeks during summer so I need someone to take care of the mowing while I'm gone.  Mother has breast cancer (I mentioned it before, I'm sure), and we'll be heading out to Washinton State to visit her.  Probably no one would want to come by 3-4 times in summer, but I thought I'd ask anyway.
