His clubs need Oklahoma Tax Commission officials manning the doors, charging a $10/head tax for admission.

If it is that kind of place, then all the people there are pretty much the same as these guys.  In that case, put a big bullet stopping wall around the place and let them go at it.  Would civilized society care??

In fact, maybe just arm everyone there and shut the front gate and don't come back for a week.  Problem solved??

I don't share my thoughts because I think it will change the minds of people who think differently.  I share my thoughts to show the people who already think like me that they are not alone.

In the last 20 years, has Kitchell owned/run a place that didn't have a problem?

There were shootings at the last place he had downtown...whatever Flytrap was at the time.

It's the "18 and up" crap.

The whole thing is definately giving me a strong reason to skip going to Riverwalk.  Sucks for the other businesses there.

IIRC didn't he run a place at 61st 71st and Lewis in the early 90's that was an 18 and up crowd that was nothing but trouble? Seems to me it was in the old Joker's Comedy Club location.

Dont pitty Jenks leadership, they knew what the score was when they grabbed the cash, and then thought they could keep it in check with periodic harassment.

I wouldn't blame this on Jenks leadership.  From my conversations with people at the City of Jenks they knew exactly what was going to happen with these clubs and were nervous about it.

They can't control who Riverwalk decided to lease the space to.  Blame Riverwalk and their lenders for choosing a short term bump in occupancy over long term stability of the development.

That is the most mind-boggling thing about Oklahoma's liquor laws. Responsible adults can't buy what they want when and where they want, but under-21 people can go to bars, as long as they only serve 3.2 beer.

If we're gonna have some of the country's most restrictive liquor laws, then how can we allow that?

3.2 beer is/was considered a "non-intoxicating" beverage.

QuoteIt's interesting that this happened so quickly after Kitchell got the restraining order stopping the City of Jenks from shutting this club down.

Since then Jenks has been trying another strategy that sounds like something along the lines of assaulting an officer's fist with a face.
Seriously, there has to be a better solution than something out of Jersey Shore or Sopranos.

I can't how this can be blamed on Jenks?
