True enough. Jacobi...don't touch that. You'll go blind.

Its hard reality to swallow but we are not well positioned to get any good graft.  :)

meh...I've been there.  I won't go back.  BTW I'm an OSU stillwater student and the sure way to tell if someone is from OKC is if they are boring, never broke a rule in their life, only do what their parents tell them, believe in JAY-sus (Not jesus, who was a stand up guy and with who's followers I have only limited quarrels) to the point of hating gay people etc, and wouldn't know fun if it puked a thunder jersey on their faces.  I've met cool people from OKC, but not a one of them goes to OSU.  Any and all of the cool kids come from Tulsa.

Ah loves mah Tulsah, but....obsessing on OKC, as though they have all the power of decisionmaking, doesn't make sense. It took lots of representatives from ALL over the state to pass these appropriation bills that favor OKC. Truth is, we are not very popular in the rest of the state. The rest of the state has more in common, both geographically and culturally, with OKC than they do with Tulsa.

OKC dominates the eastern, western and southern parts of the state. Those smaller counties rely upon Oklahoma County for commerce and leadership and OKC knows how to work with them. Our local 300 know where the power resides and you cannot blame them for doing the same.

That's why the original plan was to have two states where we have the one.

I don't share my thoughts because I think it will change the minds of people who think differently.  I share my thoughts to show the people who already think like me that they are not alone.

If Perry can get Texas to secede maybe we could lobby for a separate state just to keep us at the same number of states. Seriously, we have more in common with NW Arkansas, Southern Missouri and Kansas than we do with Oklahoma south of Stroud.

Please don't ever advocate for the Tulsa area to join up with any part of Arkansas.  Thanks.

Sorry, I know it has a reputation but always figured the closer you got to Missouri the more acceptable it might be.

Even Eureka Springs?

It would keep us (the country) from having to resurect all the 49 star flags from after Alaska but before Hawaii.

Northwest Arkansas > OKC.

If I were picking between the two, it'd be no contest. Beautiful college town with abundant outdoor opportunities vs. an ugly mess of sprawl. I spend far more time in NW Arkansas than I do in Central Oklahoma.

I don't think the rest of Arkansas would take too well to us trying to carve off the good parts. ;)

Not that I'd be against resurrecting  Lovely County with a boundary farther west (so as to encompass Tulsa) and calling it Sequoyah.

Well we would be carving off the good parts of Oklahoma and adding it to their good parts so why not? lol
