Is it important to make up a name for every part of town?

Why don't we just pick one business and name it for that (like Blue Dome).

I hereby call it Phat Town.

Ever been to a Del Taco?

Love Del Taco. It was the closest I could get to Bueno when I lived in Arizona. Although I still think it's weird to get fries with a combo meal of tacos and burritos.

Please, no. One may think of it as describing its denizens. And not Phat Cherry either.

How about Hillcrest? Or, better yet, North Cherry or South Pearl. Or....13th & Peoria.

Midtown subs is in Maple Ridge, Phat Phillys is in Forrest Orchard and 918 CrossFit is in Tracy Park.

How about we combine the names of the two most prominent restaurants?

What-a-Long John ville.

Or use the biggest building on that stretch?

Storage town.

I would just consider it part of Cherry Street.  I also consider Te-Kei's part of Cherry Street even though its a few blocks off of the actual street.

Kenosha

That stretch is kind of like the neck linking Cherry and Pearl.

How about the Pearl Necklace?

P.N. for short.

It had to be done.  I am sorry.

we vs us

They took the Midtown Subs building down, and there's lots of dirt(mud?)work on the lot.  And it also looks like someone's using raw lumber to shore up the columns of one of the apartment buildings across the street.  Definitely classes up the neighborhood.

Yeah, well, consider the owners.

Lets just say that a roof will eventually cave in if the owners pocket insurance money that was meant for repairs.

Perry Properties?

Of the same class of landlord/owners. I don't want to be harassed by their lawyers or accused of slander. Suffice to say I find them personally and professionally distasteful.

I hope they start building soon or if not put some sod down to keep all of that dirt in place over the summer.

I drove by today and the lot is much larger than the footprint the previous building took.  Lots of potential there with great skyline views.

I also love how this project ties in the the midland valley trail.  This is going to be the new place to sit on a patio after a long day riding and drink adult beverages and watch the sun set over our really amazing skyline.

Without the muddy river smell when the water level is low ;)
