Just stay sober enough not to fall off the balcony where you might roll onto the highway!!

There  is a sign up on the spot now confirming a japanese steakhouse and sushi bar.  I'll try and get a pic with my phone on the way home today.

Same owners as Fuji I believe.

I hope that this trend on peoria between 15th and 13th (for now) continues.  One of the problems that I have with cherry street is that it is two-dementional.  Not in the Flatland sense but in the sense that it only seems to go in a line.  I wish that the zoning was such that some of the side streets (especially to the north) could integrate some mixed use properties.  This trend we are seeing on peoria helps create a feeling that you aren't just on a strip.

I have had dreams (Yeah I literally dream about Tulsa urban design) about the mcdonalds and LJS being demolished and replaced with multistory mixed use buildings.  Oh to live that long.

That design is terrible. Or maybe I just can't be pleased.  >:(

I agree, I also don't see it aging very gracefully.

I expect that out of Miles & Associated (see One Place Tower) but Freese is usually pretty good.  :-\

Give it a chance on the design, I think it's pretty hip.  However, I'm more intrigued by the idea this may be mixed use.  Anyone else note there is 7660 sq. ft. for lease on the first level?

I hope there's more landscaping than what's shown in that rendering. And I am really interested in what the back side is going to look like. I hope they take full advantage of that killer view.

What's so hip about a Circuit City?

Freese is a talented architect, and he has a beautiful backdrop (downtown skyline) and a very large lot to design a more iconic building or even a cool throw back.

At least they didn't hire Mike Brady
