My Boss is looking to get a new Grill. He showed me this grill and for the life of me I cant wrap my head around how it works the way the demo shows.
Any of you guy's ever used or know someone who has used this grill ?

Also. Give me some ideas of the kind of Home grills that you like and recommend.

Looks just like the auger system in a wood fired boiler!  The problem I see with this one your boss wants is the lack of common availability of the wood pellets.  I suppose you can get them at Jack Wills or a pellet stove store, but I like the convenience of being able to buy lump hardwood charcoal at any Warehouse Market, and most grocers and some hardware stores.

Seems a bit complex to me.  I love my Weber when it comes to grilling, simple, inexpensive, and incredibly durable.

That's what I've got.  Love it.

I also have a Blue Ember gas grill for larger or quicker needs.

Yes!  Much experience with Traegers.

They are not really a grills, they are smokers.  They run on compressed wood pellets.  They are high quality, expensive and cook almost as well as grills costing 1/10th as much!

If you want a good versatile home charcoal grill, I agree with Conan.  Go with a Weber.  Some of the best meals of my life were cooked on a simple Weber.  They last for ever too.

If you want gas, just make sure you are getting a 100% stainless steel unit (even the grill part) because natural gas/propane and moisture will rust through anything else in one season.  Also make sure that it's rated to at least 80,000BTU.  If you're going to cook a steak, you want it just slightly cooler than the surface of the sun!

If you want to spend the money, the infrared models are nice but a pain in the pork butt to clean!

Now there's a small Weber with about 100,000 miles 10 sets of grates and 20 years on it!

When attacked by a mob of clowns, always go for the juggler.

I have the baby Weber at my apartment and love it. Smokey Joe Silver I think.

For some serious grilling they say Rhino is the way to go. Be a "Rhino-Man" burning with the clear blue flame. I never grill, but propane fuel is the way to go for the best burgers.

Thank you Hank Hill. Now get back to work at Stickland Propane, and quit looking at pictures of your niece Luanne.

Traeger is an excellent tool.  You can see some of them in commercial places, like the fair.  Don't have the "character" of some of the smokers you will see at the BBQ events, but there must be a place for them.  I have thought that I would like to have one sometime.

Wood pellets can be problem.  Atwoods has them quite a bit of the time, too...not sure about summer, though.

I don't share my thoughts because I think it will change the minds of people who think differently.  I share my thoughts to show the people who already think like me that they are not alone.

Yes, I was being somewhat flippant; I suppose you must have rules for any competitive activity, but I just thought the point of a BBQ in a non-competitive setting is "anything goes".  The alternative is sort of like organised jazz.
