I'm sure whoever buys Riverwalk at a bankruptcy auction in a few years will update the websites.
I understand it is already under contract with positive changes expected.

The mix of stuff was never quite enough or quite right to make it a place where you could shop.  I can find just as interesting, or more interesting, places to eat closer to home.  There wasn't enough shopping to make it a place to go shop, or even think, "Well lets go there, we can have a bit to eat and then look at some of the shops". The combo of entertainment/food/shopping/walking would have worked if the place had just finished up but otherwise there wasnt enough "walk" there, nor shopping. Basically as it was it was just another place to go eat or see a movie, and again I can do that anywhere.

I had my hopes up with phase 2, A. It would add enough to make the "Walk" part more enjoyable, you could drive there and have a nice little stroll before or after eating or shopping or a movie and that would have made it worth the trip.  B.  It could have made it more of a place to shop because there could have been more shopping.

But then they decided to build waaaay down on the opposite end and I wasn't going to walk that gap and it wasn't worth driving to that other small part.  I don't think he realized that for this type of development the "walk" component was just as important as having places to eat.  That far off section added absolutely nothing to the Riverwalk. If the whole strip ever gets built out like originally planned, I think it will be a success.  I do give him cudos for starting it and making it a quality development.

Is the Riverwalk worth making plans to go visit?

I am going to Los Cabos and then bar hopping over there.  I did that over a year or so ago and had a lot of fun but it all changed so I wanted to see what is there now.  It is good to know the boat is still there.  Is that Twisted Tilt place still there?

Maybe they'll fix that "back of a strip mall" view from the parking lot.

I saw that the River Walk Melting Pot was dropped from this year's Wine Spectator's restaurant award for wine lists.

If I we're driving the bus the entrance would change (boring), there would be significant out parcels developed, the "gap" would be filled, there would be remote parking available, the 91st Street reconstruction would be pushed, there would be more festivals and music (drive visitors numbers up) and I would beat the City leadership about the neck and shoulders until they extend a proper trail all the way to the Turnpike and then West to the trail to Elm.   But that is just my humble opinion as a Jenks resident.

And extend the west bank trail south from Turkey Mountain to the Riverwalk..

I stopped into Branson landing this morning before heading back to Tulsa from a business trip and I have to say..its AWESOME! Its 100000 times better than the river walk concept and makes river walk REALLY look GHETTO! I couldn't believe it..while I know Branson is a "destination" and Jenks isn't that..I still think not alot of thought went into the whole "lets make a stone cave thing on the front" and "amphitheater" with the stores facing the parking lot! CRAZY!!! Just my rant :)

That's why at the Jenks Riverwalk, the stores don't face the parking lot.

The parking lot side of Riverwalk is UGLY.  Maybe the experience could be improved by hiding the parking lot side with trees and other plants tall enough to hide the buildings.

As long as I'm spending other people's money, add a buffer area for the service area and block off pedestrian access through the ugly area.  Put in an automated "train" like some airports have for going from one terminal to another.  The train could tie the north and south ends together too.

Speaking of the Riverwalk, I just heard a radio commercial for "Key of G" jazz club (or is it restaurant) next to (and owned by) Gina & Guiseppe's?

Anyone know anything about it?

I couldn't find squat on the intertubes.

Sounds nice.  Better hurry and go there before. . .

Gina & Guiseppe's has been open from the beginning.  I'm thinking they're managed just a wee better than most riverwalk tenants and the development as a whole.
