'NEW YORK — New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg left the Republican Party on Tuesday and switched to unaffiliated, a move certain to be seen as a prelude to an independent presidential bid that would upend the 2008 race.

He doesn't act like a Republican, for the most part, though.  At least 'current day' Republican.

That's probably why he switched to unaffiliated.  He doesn't feel like he fits in either the Republican or Democratic parties.

Well then, have yer own party.

So much discontent between intelligent Americans and Idiot America. Surely, there's a candidate in the middle.

People in the Northeast are freaking out, going out shopping and buying everything thinking the world's going to end....what has happened here is widespread stupidity generated by the media. Sounds familiar.
