I need each of these things, but also occasionally need a pedicure and some bait for fishing. When are those vendors coming?

Put a nail salon in and I'm sure a cell phone store can't be far behind.  Not sure about a bait shop.  I always wanted to own one and call it Master's Bait Shop.  That would really freak people out when you answer the phone a little too fast.

And we were so close with Bass Pro.  What might have been....

Maybe we can get a Dick's.

Then we could have all the Southies start writing into the paper.  "That Dick's is too big.  There's not enough parking."  or "We need more parking for such a big Dick's downtown."

That Supercuts is only open 'til 6pm M-F, 1pm on Saturdays and it's closed Sundays.

Fairly poor hours for a SuperCuts. I tried to get a trim there the other day, but it was after 5 and only one stylist was working, so they couldn't get me in. Making a reservation for a SuperCuts haircut just seems wrong. Like making a reservation for dinner at McDonald's.

My friend opened this salon recently downtown.  I know they have at least one nail person who can do pedicures.  I believe she is putting (those face people, I'm not even attempting to spell that one!)

I actually think a nail place would go over well downtown, I guess people are afraid of only being busy during lunch or right after work.

Several of the people I know that work DT would break away mid-morning or mid-afternoon to get mani/pedi/etc done.  An appointment's an appointment in lots of people's minds.

Re: Philtower Bar . . . my sources say it's the ownership of The Melting Pot, and it will be an actual restaurant, not just a bar.

QuoteTULSA - More businesses keep popping up in Downtown Tulsa and it's a trend that's expected to continue.

Take a drive through downtown and you'll find land being leveled for new projects and construction going on everywhere.

"This used to be the front of Miss Jackson's," Hunt Hawkins said about the space he's developing.

Hawkins and his business partner, Eric Richards, are behind Edward Delk's.

It's a new bar and restaurant that will be in the first floor of the Philtower, named after the historic building's architect.

"We're bringing back the original terrazzo floors. Bringing back the external fire brick because that looks pretty cool," Hawkins said.
Richard described the area as, "Lofty, industrial, 20's mix. There will be exposed brick. Exposed concrete ceilings."

Awesome, great to see.  The next space in that area that will likely be developed into a restaurant space will be the corner of 6th & Boston, bottom of Enterprise building facing the park.  That is Will's residential project that hopefully will start construction next year.

LOVE all the local businesses but wouldn't mind seeing a chain like Panera or Cosi along Boston somewhere..

Seconded.  The right chain could raise the bar downtown even further.

What I would like to see is more shopping in that area, especially some nice unique or trendy urban fare.  A couple of urban clothing stores like EforMen would be nice (just you try finding my size 29 x 34 jeans or slacks in this town, or even a normal V-shaped shirt), a local version of a toy store like FAO Schwarz would be great to help get that downtown Christmas shopping thing going again, etc.

But hey, I am excited to see the way things are continuing to move along in the heart of downtown.

Delk's is going to be great.  Some friends of mine are putting this in.  Check out some images on their FB page.  (And "like" while your at it!)

Rendering per KRMG story.

From that rendering, almost has a 'Savastanos' vibe to it...
