Where are they getting their rolls?  It's difficult to get real Hoagie/Steak Sandwich rolls outside the Delaware (river) Valley.

Good question. I'm not much of a bread snob. Maybe I would be if I had had a philly in Philadelphia.

However, the roll would make it Genuine Philadelphia.  It can have a slightly different roll and still be a really good sandwich.  There is even disagreement (on the internet) among people in the Delaware Valley on which bakery makes the best hoagie/steak sandwich rolls.

Phat Phillys upgraded their beer selection, too, apparently.

They have Marshall IPA on tap. They used to only have some bud/miller/coors cans.

I'm pretty sure Steak Stuffers has been closed for quite some time.

Not having a Forum lunch soon to take advantage of this would be asinine.

Had that thought too, eh?

It is just north of Cherry Street, not really Brookside.  And they apparently had traffic downtown.  Their late night traffic should increase at the new location.  The only thing open that late on weekends is Whataburger and McDonalds.  They will probably get some good college crowds at that hour.  As far as working, its not any worse than working the 24 hour shift at a fast food restaurant or IHOP.  There are some people for whom that shift works.  I personally couldn't do it though.

I would do things to everyone's food...everyone's.

They're still there, and show no outward signs of going away. They do a very good lunch business.

Sometimes they seem like they ought to not be in business, what with closing at 8PM and not being open on weekends, but no.

Edited to add: Unless they closed in the last week and a half or so, anyway...

I tried Steak Stuffers once right after I moved back to Tulsa.  I got a thick bun with a few crumbles of what I think was beef.  Could barely taste it.  Mostly bread and a few drips of cheese sauce.  I am not exaggering by much either.  Paid a decent price for it too.  I obviously have not been back.  I was hoping for a meaty, cheesy sandwich.  That is far from what I got.  Maybe it was a one time bad experience, but it has kept me away ever since.  I intend to try Phat Phillys soon.  I heard good things when it was downtown but never made it.
