I guess George is not doing well. Looks like it will go up for sale again.

Closed for repairs too?

Should we just start a new thread called "Closed For Repairs" for all the latest restaurant and B & B closings?

Just curious how busy the B & B part of their business was?  Apparently not very.  I know McBirney has been a popular spot for weddings, receptions, and other parties for many years but seems a posh B & B in Tulsa isn't going to do much volume.

I think it had pretty steady occupancy in the rooms.  The Chef they hired last Spring was excellent.  I'm not sure how viable a true B&B is in Tulsa.  Perhaps it could work if you combined with a popular/sucessful restaurant.

Did those mean women still own it....???

Caroline has been gone for several years now. Mean is one of the nicest adjectives I've seen attached to her.

Thanks for the laugh. The mansion does well as a B&B and as an event center. The property price tag ($2M+) is a huge hurdle.

SXSW

Is it closed or not?  I'd like to try their brunch sometime.

The other mean ones that owned it....Like 2 or 3 of them.....

Caroline sold it to the current owner and he is closing it due to health. I know both of the two ladies that have managed the reservations during this time (Ann and then Jana) and I can't imagine either one of them being rude to a customer. So I guess I don't know who the mean ones are outside of the bristly one.

This place is a joke, I mean management wise and layout wise for anything over 50 people at the same time...a new business plan or expansion somehow would help it..or just sell it to someone to turn into a house...
