I was at the building permit office filing for a new project, when I saw on the examiner's desk a signage plan application for "Chuy's Mexican Food", and the address was something like 10808 E. 71st St. South.  I assume this is the same Chuy's chain that is all over Texas.  Google maps shows that being essentially in the area around Cheddar's.  Don't know anything else.  I've never been blown away by their food, but wanted to share the news.

My guess:  the "World Buffet" place next to Cheddar's / in front of the theater  & across the street from Abuelos

I'm always happy to hear of new businesses moving into our town.

I avoid that area like the plague though.

Meh, if they've never heard of a place called Hatch, I could care less.

My 1971 Phillips 66 Tulsa street map only goes about 1/4 mile south of 71st Street.

My point exactly. In 1971, 71st was south Tulsa. 30 years later, it is now mid town.  ;D

Or uptown as some realtors have called it [the area in between Riverside, I-44, the Creek Turnpike, and 169].  South Tulsa is south of the Creek....   ;)

That's what I have been saying all along.  :D  For me, I am interested in any new restaurants that come to town. It shows that Tulsa has come to a point where out of state business are willing to take a chance on us.

A realtor would come up with something like that.  Not sure how 'uptown' can be between 'midtown' and 'south tulsa'.

It's not the fit.  It's "do I really want to try to get there?"
