In case you hadn't noticed, the limited run of El CuCuy is back in local liquor stores.  I believe I overheard the clerk at Ranch Acres say Big Jamoke arrives later this month as an early Christmas present.

Yep, I went last Friday to get Oktoberfest (the one I still haven't had because he was out) and he had cases upon cases of this.  I bought one bomber.  Love this stuff.

You piker.

This is one to buy by the case, savor and cry like a baby after the last one is gone.

I loved it more at last year's price.

No kidding, I didn't realize his bombers had gone to $7.99 until they had rung that up and the other case of beer I'd purchased and it came to $141.  I was used to around $55 or $60 for a case of Marshall's bombers.

Since we are on a beer thread, I'm no fan of Hefeweisen due to the dirty dishrag tone it seems to impart to me, but I tried Santa Fe's Hefe and it's pretty darn good.

I prefer the genuine German Hefeweisen beers (Paulaner, Erdinger, and a few more I can't remember at the moment) to the American ones I have consumed.

Erdinger is a personal favorite

Do they have less of that dirty dishwater whang?

I like to savor just one...if I drink too much of the specialties, I get burned out.

Believe it or not, I'm not a HUGE beer drinker.  But when I do, I'm drinking Marshalls almost 95 percent of the time.

I don't think I know what dirty dishwater whang tastes like.

Hefeweizens are yeasty by design (hence the "Hefe").  Perhaps you don't care for that taste.

Maybe we could choose a different descriptive than "whang"?

I was hoping maybe you would interpret that as me not being a drinker of larger beers (like quarts or 40s..LOL).

Make no mistake, I am large.  Ask several on here.
