This was suggested by others in a recent thread.

The restaurant is at 81st and Sheridan. Head south for miles and mid-towners can find it.

Here is a link to their place...

This place has unbelievable deli sandwiches. I started with the rueben, then the next time I went ordered the jagdwurst. The third time I went I ordered the schnitzel plate. They were all wonderful.

I will get there a little before 11:30 and try to get a place to sit together. I need an idea of who else is coming so I can have a plan for seating.

since guido is offerin' to carry me on this one, I'll see what I've got going on.  It's finals week, but I think I'll be done with most things by then.

I don't share my thoughts because I think it will change the minds of people who think differently.  I share my thoughts to show the people who already think like me that they are not alone.

Afraid Guido and Red will scrob my knob, box my ears, give me a wedgie and make fun of my mama....but I'll try.

I attempted the googles with part of your fear.  I found nothing.  It did, however, lead me to some sites I dared not spy.

All, please refrain from scrobbing anyone's knob until after we eat.

No, but we will make you and Townsend walk on a parking lot.   :D

Just checked Google Maps, there is a sidewalk along Sheridan but you won't need to use it.  You can walk away from the Gasthaus to walk on the sidewalk if you feel the need to use it but will have to cross the parking lot again to get inside for lunch.   :D

Townie, although it may have a different meaning now, in my grade school days, Scrobbing Your Knob was when someone grabbed you in a headlock and vigorously rubbed their fist in your hair. Back then being gay was a sign of a well adjusted personality. Things change eh?

You're just an old guy, like me.

When a new word is chosen for something with unpopular connotations, eventually that new word too will gain unpopular connotations.  Choose any popular politically correct term here.  I am not picking on any particular one.

Wholly cow. They took that one too. I was happy when Gay meant....Well happy.
Changing opinions one mistake at a time.

Sounds like we are getting a pretty good crowd. This might get rowdy.

I will notify security, bring some extra dollars for bail, and remember to wear a cup.

It was taken at least 20 years ago. Either that, or I had a really dirty mind.

I'm in, and by the time I was growing up it was "knob 'scobbing'"
