Stand by my previous assessment of your disdain for the MotherShip.  It's spun off the new hotel currently under construction, and who knows what other businesses benefit downtown from it.  But I'm sure you'll just pshaw at all that revenue that would have otherwise gone to OKC, Dallas, KC or even Little Rock.

I don't think they toured last year...  Hard to show up on the top tours list if you don't tour.

Their newest album is up on the charts.  They played a great NYE set on Austin City Limits that received solid reviews.  Coldplay is a great live band and I would certainly enjoying seeing them at the BOK.  I saw them for the first time at the OKC Civic Center in 2003 and that show still ranks as one of the top shows I've seen live.

All that aside, saying that the BOK Center will only be a success if Coldplay comes is ridiculous.  Before the mythical "debt service" it more than breaks even and is a great addition to our community so it's a success regardless of whether Mr Gynweth Paltrow performs there.
