Interesting story and there are more like it and it's surprising they aren't widely broadcast.

Several months ago, there was an inmate in a nearby city who escaped, murdered an elderly lady, stole her car, and headed east. He had a full plan as when he'd stop and kill someone else to get their car. His destination was D.C. and his target was the president. He'd been given a radio and spent all his time listening to the hate speeches and propoganda of the Tea Partyists, Fuax news, etc.

It doesn't mean that all Tea Partiers are crazy, but the influence they have on the crazies is very dangerous. I've never seen a similar story related to the Occupiers.
Adopt an older pet. Help them remember what it feels like to be loved.

I'm sure someone here will fabricate one for you.

Okay. Truth: "The Day After Tomorrow" was a fictional drama created by Hollywood. Exaggeration, "The Day After Tomorrow" was touted by scientific experts as a possible scenario as to something that may have happened but there is no proof of concept.

Truth: Wooly Mamoths have been found in an upright position trapped in multiple layers of earth and ice and appear to have asphyxiated.
Exaggeration: These mamoths must have been frozen in mid stride, and mid chew while eating during an instant freeze of the earth because nothing else would cause this condition.

The movie is definitely a fictional drama.  There were exaggerations that are physically not really possible even with - 100 degree temperature just due to the nature of the phase changes that would have been required.  Like the fuel in the helicopters - if it was Jet A, the freeze point is -40.  But then there is the extra btus that must be removed for the phase change and that would take some time even at -100.  A lot of time - at least enough to land safely without just nosing in.  Red, do you happen to know the btu number per pound at the freeze point?  I'm guessing it must be at least 40 to 60 (??)  Would have to take at least several minutes to freeze the fuel.

Not sure what the finders mean by upright position.  I don't think that necessarily equates to mid-stream, but it makes a story.  Food in the mouth and stomach is something that is difficult to explain.  It ferments/digests/rots pretty quickly in the intestines, but perhaps the stomach allowed a kind of "pickling" due to the acidic nature of stomach juices.  Kind of like cabbage in acid (vinegar) becomes saurkraut - preserved but somewhat different - partially "rotted"?

I don't share my thoughts because I think it will change the minds of people who think differently.  I share my thoughts to show the people who already think like me that they are not alone.

In particular in Texas - for some reason, TX seems to be a real hotbed of crazy.  Like Elohim City here in OK.

I don't know the numbers off hand but agree it doesn't happen instantly as soon as the temp reaches either -40F or -40C  ( ;D)  I know that jets fly at altitudes that have temperatures colder than that.  I'll have to check to see if they heat the fuel.

I have been told that military aircraft do, but it was from an Air Force avionics tech, so that was second hand - did not work on fuel systems directly.

Even -100 or -150 would take a fair amount of time - even without heat, it would have to be minutes rather than 5 seconds.
