Wonder if he was drag racing home after a night at River Spirit.

#5 from ORU's honor code (https://webapps.oru.edu/slle/code-of-honor-pledge.pdf):

I PLEDGE at all times to keep my total being under subjection from all immoral and illegal actions and communications, whether on or off campus. I will not take any illegal drugs or misuse any drugs; I will not engage in or attempt to engage in any illicit, unscriptural sexual acts, which include any homosexual activity and sexual intercourse with one who is not my spouse through traditional marriage of one man and one woman. I will not drink alcoholic beverages of any kind; I will not use tobacco; I will not engage in other behavior that is contrary to the rules and regulations listed in the Student Handbook.

I will keep the HONOR CODE carefully and prayerfully. I understand that my signature below is my
acceptance of the entire Honor Code and completes a contract between me and Oral Roberts University,
which is a prerequisite for matriculation and my continued association with the university.

Yet the university's response today was:
"Our prayers go out to Richard and Lindsay Roberts and their entire family as they face this life challenge," said Jeremy Burton, spokesman for Oral Roberts University. "May God's grace help them as they work toward healing."

TYPICAL!!!

Isn't he out of the University?

Maybe his ministry is different now.  A rock and or roll kind of ministry.

He is "president emeritus" of the university, had something to do with being $50 million or so in the hole I believe as well as some youngster being in his wife's ho... uh never mind.

They should uphold the laws the same way they did a friend of mine who was a student there. He was caught having "non scriptural sex" in a car on the parking lot with someone who "was not his spouse". They summarily kicked his scriptural butt out of the school.

That's the point, they already did kick Richard's butt out of the university.  If they had kicked every student out who had "non-scriptural sex" or broke the honor code in some other way, that place would be a ghost town.  I believe it was actually ORU students who nicknamed the Camelot Hotel "The Cram-A-Lot".  And no, they weren't referring to it as a quiet place for intense study for finals.
