I am F'ing Nostradamus.

He's been dead for like 400 years you creepy-assed necro.

I predicted gas prices would drop below $3 before June 30th and they do on June 29th. At the time, gas prices had just gone up to $3.60 and there were stories in the news that gas prices would be $5 this summer.

Nostradamus couldn't carry my jock strap.

Let me know if you need some lottery number predictions.

I haven't seen it below $3 yet.  $3.02 when I left from work at the QT at 51st/129th.  Where is it cheaper than that?

Yeah, I was turning your phrase at an attempt to be entertaining.

OK, I looked at that after I posted my question and there was only one in Claremore.

I will now defer to RM's Nostradamus-like clairvoyance...

I'm going to use my Reasors Gas rewards card right after work. Thanks for the heads up Mike, or Nos.

Spend $50 and get $0.05 off per gallon
Let say you fill up 15 gallons...    you end up "saving" $0.75
A whole 1.5% off your Reasors bill
A whole .008% off the combined purchase of groceries + gas

You must spend $50 you get the discount.   gotta deal with the card, etc
I'd say you can save that $0.75 a lot easier by just comparison shopping within the store.

We spend quite of money at reasors so I thought the card would be dandy.  But apparently we seldom spend at least $50 at one go..
So far my total discount on gas has been about $0.68

The old Advantage program was much better for me, because you didn't have to spend the $50 in one shot. They also shortened the expiration time by 30 days and went from a discount on up to 25 gallons to a discount on only up to 20 gallons. I was getting a good 1.4% worth of value with the old program. With the new one, it would be less than half that. Remember that if you spend $99.99, you only get credit for $50, just the same as spending $49.99 gets you no credit at all.

On the bright side, Google Wallet works in the store, so Google paid for $10 of my groceries a while back. Very convenient and amusing to onlookers who see me paying with my phone, although they may be more amused when it doesn't work, which is most places with the PayPass/PayWave/ExpressPay readers.

That's why I like Safeway's rewards system, simple and easy, and the limit is a single fill up.

Fred Meyer/Fry's (Kroger) is the similar for earning points, bu they limit you to 35 gallons for the discount.

QT is still $3.029 in much of Tulsa, but at 161st/44 and 193rd/44 they are at $2.999. The Fiesta Mart in Inola is charging $3.029, while the Love's in Choteau is $3.149(!).

With my rewards card. I purchased 20 gallons Friday at QT for 2.77 cents a gallon.
Anyone have any idea what the average time that these programs last?
Cause I know once I start using and liking anything. It's short lived.
Changing opinions one mistake at a time.

Reasors' Advantage was around a year or two before they changed the program.

Congratulations.  Tulsa made the headline and today gas is back up to $3.09.
