So this project has been referenced in connection with other topics but we have very little detail:

QuoteNelson himself is investing in a $19.2 million apartment project on the east side of downtown that could include 142 units.

I think that is wrong.  The chevy dealership is on elgin.  And would have the worlds smallest 142 apts  :D

His project is on greenwood and didn't get any downtown housing money.  The chevy dealership did,  but it's being done by somebody from OKC.  Unless the sitch changed.

Something is funky about the map though.  It puts the urban8 right in the parking lot of the med school.  Which is, of course, weird.

I'm pretty sure these are supposed to be the large blocks of buildings behind pfox's rendering of Urban8.
Change never happened because people were happy with the status quo.

Ah...ok

The East Village, West Blue Dome, whatever we are calling this area these days is about to be all torn up just like Brady is now.

That's a really good thing

Not that I know of ?

Yep, I gave really bad information.

The only thing I know for certain is that Blake is funneling city funds via a trash cart scheme to the Fintube site to create an event venue. Pink Gas will be the opening act.

These downtown apartment project are great.  I will go out of my way just to see their progress.  Greenarch is going to be a great addition to Greenwood, and the Brady Flats to the Brady District.  I really hope Mr. Nelson's project gets off the ground soon as well.  My big question however, is what happened to Urban8?  You never hear about it, and their website does not have anything.  Really hope Urban8 brings some life ot the East End!
