Now this is both amazing and funny!  The White House website holds an archive where americans can learn about the former residents.  The biographies display historical information on each president.  The current resident has found it necessary to add a "Did you know" section to many of these entries to include himself and links to his programs.


Ronald Reagan biography:
In a June 28, 1985 speech Reagan called for a fairer tax code, one where a multi-millionaire did not have a lower tax rate than his secretary. Today, President Obama is calling for the same with the Buffett Rule.

Calvin Coolige biography:
On Feb. 22, 1924 Calvin Coolidge became the first president to make a public radio address to the American people. President Coolidge later helped create the Federal Radio Commission, which has now evolved to become the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). President Obama became the first president to hold virtual gatherings and town halls using Twitter, Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn, etc.

Truman biography:
In a 1946 letter to the National Urban League, President Truman wrote that the government has "an obligation to see that the civil rights of every citizen are fully and equally protected." He ended racial segregation in civil service and the armed forces in 1948. Today the Obama administration continues to strive toward upholding the civil rights of its citizens, repealing Don't Ask Don't Tell, allowing people of all sexual orientations to serve openly in our armed forces.

Lyndon Johnson:
President Lyndon Johnson signed Medicare signed (sic) into law in 1965—providing millions of elderly healthcare stability. President Obama's historic health care reform law, the Affordable Care Act, strengthens Medicare, offers eligible seniors a range of preventive services with no cost-sharing, and provides discounts on drugs when in the coverage gap known as the "donut hole."

Roosevelt:
On August 14, 1935, President Roosevelt signed the Social Security Act. Today the Obama administration continues to protect seniors and ensure Social Security will be there for future generations.

With Obama we've heard a lot of "I", "Me", and "My".  With his predecessors, it was more often than not "we", "our", and "ours".

Are you aware of the origins of the "Mission Accomplished" sign?  That was the idea of the Navy, not the White House.

White House spokesman Scott McClellan told CNN that in preparing for the speech, Navy officials on the carrier told Bush aides they wanted a "Mission Accomplished" banner, and the White House agreed to create it.

"We took care of the production of it," McClellan said. "We have people to do those things. But the Navy actually put it up."

The banner has been used by critics of the Bush administration as evidence of bravado and an unclear sense of how dangerous the postwar conflict in Iraq would be.

Assigning responsibility elsewhere, especially to the military, is not a typical move for the Bush administration and raised suspicions among critics.

Cmdr. Conrad Chun, a Navy spokesman, defended the president's assertion.

"The banner was a Navy idea, the ship's idea," Chun said.

I am saying that Obama is lying.

He has every right to take money from any individual and any individual has a right to contribute to him. He knows clearly well that people in the oil industry gave him money, but he made a campaign commercial where he said he didn't take money from oil companies.

When the CEO of an oil company becomes a campaign bundler for you, you don't get to pander to the American public and attack oil companies and lie about your relationship with them.

Obama folks said Hillary lied when she embellished her personal story about a trip to Bosnia. To me, Obama's lie is worse. He made a paid commercial.

We also know from this somebody in here that Obama listened to a outrageous preacher and did business with crooks (Rezko???) Was it Conman or Gassy? You guess.

Of course, Obama doesn't take money from oil companies. Corporations can't give to campaigns. But Obama clearly knows where the money comes from and is acting like he doesn't. This is a poor excuse, only eclipsed by his answer that he didn't listen to his preacher make outrageous remarks. His outright lies are once again given a pass by the media and by his supporters. Sorry, he (and you supporters) need to answer some questions.

Why would Obama pay for ads that have false information?

Why would Obama run an ad in Pennsylvania (coal country) that attacks oil companies?

Why is when I defend my candidate you call it spin and not when you defend your candidate?

Why do you fail to understand that an oil company executive that made his fortune in oil and now owns a bank is not still an oil man?

Why won't you admit that his statements were a lie?

Why would you question Hillary's judgement and not Obama's judgement to do a real estate deal with a known Chicago mobster?

The military really kind of has a "thing" about personnel on military planes being in fire resistant attire.  The flight gear may not be a big a publicity deal as you would like.
