After having one of "those" appointments, is it customary to give a hug to the doctor?

Depends on how much you enjoyed the appointment, I guess.  Personal experience?

Generalization alert:

Women doctors seem to pay better attention about medical issues/discussions than male.

I was concerned. What really got my going was the video cameras, skype, full balcony seating, and applause sign. The kiss on the cheek was a nice touch.
