3535 East Admiral is across the street from one of our recycling centers. It will be a nice addition to a struggling area.

When the Piggly Wiggly Grocery and the liquor store closed, the area lost most of the customers. There is a Hispanic bar next door that has big crowds, but that is mostly on weekend nights. It is less than a half mile from Ann's Bakery and a few blocks away from Pizza Hut and Mazzio's. There is a good Mexican restaurant called Los Unicos west of the Diner and a better one called El Burrito a couple of blocks east. There is also a Middle Eastern cafe next to Ann's.

My favorite diner in Tulsa was on Admiral just west of Harvard called Eastside Cafe. They had awesome onion rings. It closed more than a decade ago.

The neighborhood is quite different than being in the Blue Dome district. Maybe with Brian's entrance into the neighborhood will be a nice shot with a bunch of new customers and some old customers like me.

It will still be a nice ride in for breakfast for the Mrs. and I.

I would have never suspected you were such an expert on diners and restaurants ;)

Come on. One look and you'd know.

Half the diners in town call my name when I enter. I am a local version of Norm at "Cheers".

Feeding or feeding your ego?...hard to tell here. Not hard to tell, generally speaking.  :D

I adore the BDD.  I've never had anything but good food there.  I always prefered it to Tally's.  As I mentioned my wife (or whatever she is now) and I had our reception there.  Our wedding cake was a stack of their pancakes.  Wait, never mind!  Burn it down and salt the very earth on which it stands!   ;D

I wonder who Sager will boot next?  Dwelling spaces?

P.S.: Dirty bathrooms?  Goodness there are some dainty flowers on this forum.  I must be the only dirty hipster on here.

You should always invite the TN forum to partake in any wedding/barmitzah/birthday/divorce/bachelor party pancakecakes.

In an eating establishment, I prefer to be cleaner after leaving the bathroom than when I entered.  ;)

Smelly and dirty are not Interdependent.

With this thread in mind, I paid more attention to the restroom on my latest visit. I still don't see a lack of cleanliness. I see a fairly worn restroom, but not a dirty restroom.

Thank you.  I didn't really see what people meant either.

The last time I went (about 6-7 mos ago), it looked like what I'd expect to see at closing time in a bar; I haven't been back recently. Who knows, perhaps it was an off-day and all complaining posters just happened to go at the exact same time?

Did you visit the men's room or the ladies' room? Hmmm?

I actually see this as a good thing. Not in the sense that the area is losing a diner, but that the rent prices are going up due to demand. That means we are getting closer to a well-developed downtown.
