Are Quik-Trips Safe???

After the many shootings/confrontations at Quik Trip convenience stores, I am thinking of buying gas and snacks elsewhere.  There are too many creepy-crawlers out at night at these stores to suit me.

If I go to Quik-Trip to buy gas, I now do it in the mornings when the bad people are asleep.  I don't know what Quik-Trip could do about this, but if they don't get a security guard at these stores, I know I for one will start buying somewhere else.

Where have you found a safer place?

If I go to QT now to get anything, I'm carrying.

Is Sears safe? They got robbed in broad daylight yesterday.

Edited to add: Does anybody know if they ever found the cross dresser that was fleeing the scene? ;)

QT is typically the best lit of any convenience store and many security measures.  They can't help asshats pulling onto their property and shooting others any more than Reasor's or a church.

Keep in mind, the incident at 71st & Riverside appears to be a road rage incident.

Im not a very good judge of safety.  I hang around a courthouse all day with criminals and people accused of crimea...

Seriously though, what is the incident to quiktrip ratio?  There are more qts than anything else, so...

There will be a new CVS at 91st and Yale in front of Whole Foods. Competition for the criminal element across the street at QT. ;)

QT, unlike any other store, always has a manager or assistant manager working in the store 24/7. Police are in and out of there all day and night. I am often out in the wee hours of the night and I would have no problem counting out cash in the parking lot of any of them. Most "incidents at QT" had absolutely nothing to do with QT. Could have been any parking lot.

As safe as they can possibly be for what they are.

Other places are safer as a result of QT's practices leading the way in the convenience store market.

There does come a problem after a certain time of night when QT is basically the only place to go to in town, so people up to no good will find themselves there.

Just stay out in the open where you can be seen, which is pretty easy to do at QT, as they design it that way.   Not a lot of dark corners and crevasses.

Each QT has a yellow sign that says "safe place."  Who are we to argue?

I consider them daylight only.

Which is just south of one of the worst areas in Tulsa. I've seen people walk up to the soda stacked outside, grab 2 or 3 and calmly walk away.

They quit stacking the Coke outside up here around a year ago now. At least once a week I'd walk up to the stack, grab three 12 packs, and calmly walk away. ;)
