All the CFC's in the history of the world would only make a layer about 1 mm thick on the ground...and that would flow to the ocean, which might raise it to 1.3 mm.  But then, CFC's aren't heavy enough to avoid mixing, so they are thinly diluted throughout....

ARE YOU SERIOUS?

I wasn't.  Nor was Ed W (I hope)

QuoteI think I can explain this.

Our atmosphere is composed of roughly 80% nitrogen and 20% oxygen, with a few other trace gases.  As you know, oxygen has a higher atomic number than nitrogen, meaning that it's denser and therefore displaces the less dense nitrogen close to the earth's surface.  This means that tall people are receiving less oxygen than shorter people, causing them to have a mild oxygen debt that may have deleterious effects on brain function.

Mitt Romney is a tall guy.

No.  I was not serious.  That's the biggest problem with text - no inflection.  Difficult to make an opposite point by saying something sooo extreme with the correct "rolling of eyes" and associated facial movements so that the intent is obvious.

It is not true about CFC's that they are 1 mm thick.  It is however true that mercury.....

I don't share my thoughts because I think it will change the minds of people who think differently.  I share my thoughts to show the people who already think like me that they are not alone.

I found this out on the interwebz and thought it was interesting.  Commentary on things that are very strange in the politics versus religion culture we seem to be immersed in so much these last few decades.

It's well-established that CFCs, carbon dioxide, and ozone travel into the upper atmosphere.  When under the influence of trace amounts of alcohol vapor, ultraviolet lights and a bit of cannabis smoke, they combine in ways that would make a Zoroastrian stripper blush.  This results in the bozone layer.  Its effects on humans aren't fully known, but it's believed that prolonged exposure to the bozone layer makes people react in odd manners as if there are toads jumping from their mouths and mother of god there are metallic spiders everywhere!  Run!  Run for your lives!

It's never had an effect on me, though.

May you live in interesting times.

Man, I need to get some ultraviolet lights and cannabis smoke.

The bozone layer is where TTC lives.

Are you sure it never had an effect on you?  It would explain a lot of your posts on TNF to say it did affect you.
