In the past 30 days I have seen major accidents on I 44 ...1/4 mile from the Yale exit going east. Be careful. Lots of tire tread marks. Design flaws?

Idiot drivers with either a "me first" mentality or not enough sense to put the bucking phone down.

Tulsans have no idea what comes Monday.

Tulsans who don't read/watch the news, talk to friends, look at signs on their route, note the enormous amount of construction around the area, note the absence of multiple buildings, the horrible condition of the existing bridge, etc. have no idea what comes Monday.

Sadly, that will still appear to be many many many folks Monday and most likely through Thursday.

There were still people waiting 25 minutes to pass through I-44 & Peoria when it was down to 2 lanes and a timed traffic light that let 4 cars through every 3 minutes almost a year into that project (all the way until the lanes opened up), when you could get through on Riverside easily.    People are indeed stupid.

There was traffic on the bridge when I passed under this morning.  Were they waiting until after morning rush to shut it down?  Can't wait to see what a CF traffic on I-44 becomes when they start demolishing the bridge.

Is there a traffic or construction cam at this location?

Yes....Carmageon Tulsa Style is set to begin this afternoon. It won't get bad for several days. But it will get bad...for 20 months. I'm predicting 51st and Harvard to get the brunt of the detour runoff.

Time to start biking 36th St. on the work commute again.

Doubtful.  OKtraffic.org is doing good to keep the few cameras they have on the freeways running.  There is really only two for I-44 (junction of I-44 and the BA, junction of I-44 and US169).

EDIT: and of course now after visiting the site, almost all of the cameras are inoperative.  About what I expect from this state...sheesh.

They have similar issues with cameras that they have with roads...they don't know how to do either.

I don't share my thoughts because I think it will change the minds of people who think differently.  I share my thoughts to show the people who already think like me that they are not alone.

It's amazing that states that many consider 'inferior' to ours have better traffic cam systems.

EDIT:  Missouri's even has a better traffic cam system.  I guess at least Oklahoma got one.

Parkhill's is about the only thing south of I-44 I can think of, but the beer selection at Ranch Acres and Collins' Mid Town may be even better than Fred's.

I'm beginning to think Collin's is better than Ranch Acres actually....and it's only a mile from work if I need to go.
