You are going to have to go somewhere else.  It ain't gonna happen around Tulsa.

There is an observatory South of Tulsa that is great for viewing.  Of course, you have to know or be a part of the Astronomy Club of Tulsa to get out there, or know what days it's open to the public.  I think they have a website that has the info.

I believe it's most of the way to Okmulgee.

Edit:

I went out to my backyard, looking north.  After a few minutes I could just barely see the big dipper and the North Star.  It used to be easily visible. I do not consider that progress.
