Taylor..50.7%
Dewey demands recount. Taylor picks up 2 more votes. 52.7%

Red, does that math work?

Maybe, if the turnout is small enough (like around 100).  I'm not going to figure it out exactly.

And painful...a flaming cell phone might cause great discomfort to both parties.

I hope it's Taylor, Dewy is a scatter brain and has not a clue what he's doing. Our road construction is a serious mess, the trash system mess, the American Airlines boondoggle, and Dewys pro- tax  on everything. Dewy did not earn a 2nd term... I'm not a liberal I am  a "T" Party Sarah Palin type of  conservative and I'm mad. I hope with Taylor at least this city-wide road construction mess will clear up. :-X

Well, if you are mad, you should at least be mad at the right people....like Sarah Palin....you remember her, don't you?   The one who couldn't even be bothered to complete the job she spent a TON of money to get, but then left the people of Alaska after about half the term.  Yeah...there's the paragon of honor and trustworthiness we have come to expect from the tea-baggers.

"But obviously we gotta stand with our North Korean allies..."

Could we just stick to predictions about the Mayor's race?

Just once try to stay on topic.

Just looking at signs in yards I'll guess high: 66.6.   Oh, percent!
I ran from OK about 50-yrs. ago & in 2010 I saw downtown's potential.

Tulsa's in a Phoenix rise, reason enough to stick around.

Besides... you can't fully be an Okie except in Oklahoma.

You are gonna force me to go to 67% just to "one-up"....

Improbable.

In the June primary Bartlett got 34% to Taylor 42%.

Surely Bartlett will get some of the 23% that supported Christiansen to vote for him.

The numbers from June were 24,495 for Taylor, 19,937 for Bartlett, and 13,476 for Christiansen for 57,908 total. Half of that is 28,954.
In theory, Bartlett needs 9,017 of the 13,476 Christiansen voters. That is almost exactly two thirds of them (66.9%).

Of course, many different people might be voting in November compared to June, especially with the sales tax and the bond issue on the ballot.

Quote'Campaign intern' for Tulsa mayoral candidate Kathy Taylor says he's following Dewey Bartlett

TULSA - A man questioned by police for suspicious activity Saturday told officers he was hired by Tulsa mayoral candidate Kathy Taylor's office to follow her opponent Dewey Bartlett. A police field interview report details the run-in with a Norman man, who witnesses reported seeing sitting parked inside his car outside the current mayor's home for the past several days.

The 23-year-old admitted to tracking Bartlett's movements, telling officers he had been in the Tulsa area monitoring the candidate for roughly one to two weeks on behalf of Taylor's campaign. The man went further, describing his job as the documentation and recording of Bartlett's comings and goings, but said he was unaware he was doing anything wrong. Officers also found a camera tripod, according to the report, but found no other device pointing to surveillance. He said the camera was used for general events. The man was not arrested.

Kathy Taylor released the following statement Monday afternoon regarding the incident: As the police noted, our young campaign intern was doing absolutely nothing of concern and was completely legal. He was honest when asked what he was doing. If Ms. Brown felt concerned, I certainly empathize with that and of course apologize if we contributed to that concern. I do understand with the increase in crime in our city, that we must all be aware of our surroundings and I thank her for bringing this concern to my attention and to our police. I hope for the next eight days of this campaign, we talk about the issues facing Tulsa families—how we get back to the basics to make this a safe city that is transparent and accountable to Tulsans.

Bartlett's office could be immediately be reached for comment. The campaign has grown increasingly tense in recent days as the Nov. 12 election nears. Tulsa police announced last week the department had begun an investigation into an apparent threat against Taylor. Bartlett's camp later said the mayor had also received numerous threats.

I'm curious what Christiansen's vehement anti-endorsement did to those followers though?  Undoubtedly, there are "anyone but Kathy" voters who voted for Christiansen and may end up voting for Bartlet (sic).  They could just as easily stay home out of disgust if they were also "anyone but Dooey" voters.

I still think she has the edge.  Anyone who has lived in Tulsa the last eight years can make an honest appraisal of their two styles: Taylor is very type A, very hands-on vs. aloof and laid back.  Kathy has vision, Dooey has stuff.  Most certainly much of the current Brady and Blue Dome development is the result of principals she brought to the table to help make it happen.  Kaiser?? Hellooo??

It really does bother me that after Taylor left office that Plani-Tulsa basically died under the current admin.
