I just take the bus downtown. It's not worth the hassle of driving and finding a place to park- the bus also has a transfer ticket that you can use for your trip back if you make it under an hour. I also don't understand how those downtown computerized parking meters work. I had to go downtown last month to protest the increase they did to my homes valuation- I took the bus. The Bus depot is right across the street from the tax assessors office in the court building. beats driving.

There are also now electronic meters for some of the lots that are a little bit more complex.
You type in your license plate, swipe your card, then put the receipt (face up) on your dash.
