Helicopter lands at US Capitol

Some one just landed a gyro-copter next to the US Capitol. Wonder if they are related to this guy?

Interestingly it has US Postal insignia on the tail and was flown by a postal worker........

I find it funny, the people in the news media commenting "Why didn't they just shoot him down?" and "why didn't radar pick him up?"

I find it funny, the people in the news media commenting "Why didn't they just shoot him down?" and "why didn't radar pick him up?"

They don't understand the way aviation radar works.  This craft likely was WAY too small to have any kind of primary return.  And it likely would have been dismissed as a flock of birds.

And while obviously what he did was breaking the law, I love the reason he did it.  At least this guy has conviction.  And will likely have one on his record too.
