The site isn't on the corner, it's set back maybe a quarter mile east of Elwood. I don't know if the property floods, but 81st does constantly which will cut off access. 81st is sometimes closed for weeks at a time.

It's usually only flooded for a few days.  It has been worse though.

Any guesses on how long it takes for the sports complex to complain about the airport?

Derp, north, that's what I meant.  I'm a little slydexic with directions at times.

No problem. You'll only be able to take off heading south and land heading north.

That'll work right up until someone invades the area with an airplane.

Have you read the new rules?  You seem to have forgotten "where ever" in your inaccurate list.

There are limitations. Commercial and Airline Transport pilots will still be required to have a medical.  New pilots will be required to get a FAA medical once. Airplane maximum weight and maximum number of seats are limited. Flights will be limited to altitudes less than 18,000 feet above sea level.  Private pilots will still need to see a doctor periodically, just not a FAA designated Medical Examiner.

Your comments would carry more weight if all personal use automobile and light truck drivers were required to have the same third class medical certificate that private pilots are required to have.

You know, that would be good training for the Spartan students that want to eventually fly corporate or commercial. Throw in a crosswind of twenty knots from the west and see who survives.  ;)
