Keeping it classy one Hollywood (or New York) moron at a time.

Really, this is stooping to Trump's level of low brow commentary and Tweeting.  Colbert?  I've not found him particularly funny nor amusing since he took over for Letterman.  His obsession for Trump makes his show unwatchable.  We get inundated with Trump plenty without the late night guys taking a turn.

Colbert's lovefest with Obama was bad enough. I am not a Trump fan but Colbert got really boring with the Trump hatefest.  I stopped watching Letterman when he was no longer funny in his hate for all things Republican. Letterman deserved to get booted. (Or whatever reason he left the show.)

Celebrities have the right to express their opinion.  I have the right to disagree.

Yeah, that IS what fascists do.  It's what Trump and Sessions have been doing for the last 6 weeks.   Where is your outrage about that??

I don't share my thoughts because I think it will change the minds of people who think differently.  I share my thoughts to show the people who already think like me that they are not alone.

Now that IS funny, 1,595 people didnt think the Linkedin Profiles they chose to upload to the internet would be public.
Meanwhile, thousands of children dont have a choice about what our government has called their "summer camp."

...and the victim is who(m)?

Many Trump supporters are in a tough spot this morning.  For a week they supported the regime's assertion that no policy changed, that it was someone else's fault, and that Trump couldn't do anything about it.  Then yesterday Trump signs an executive Order to change his administration's policy that created the influx of family separations.

Seems like the new narrative is a combination of "whatabout Obama" and "the Courts made us do it."  The narrative from a couple days ago is abandoned like it never existed. The concept of policy change is forgotten in the context of "Obama did it" (previous admins did detain unaccompanied minors, they did not have a policy of creating them in nearly every instance).  Almost everyone is completely ignorant of the Court ruling they are holding out.  Lets cure the ignorance:

In 1985 a 15 year old girl was taken into ICE custody alone.  She was placed with adults of both sexes, stripped searched daily, and told she would only be released to her parents (who they suspected of being illegal aliens). This resulted in a lawsuit. It went all the way to the Supreme Court under Bush I and the government won on nearly all appealed issues, the case was sent back to the lower Courts.  The litigation was finally resolved with a consent degree under Clinton whereby the "government agreed to keep children in the least restrictive setting possible and to ensure the prompt release of children from immigration detention."   Clinton, Bush II, and Obama all worked under it with little fanfare, which is why most have never heard of it.  It's called the Flores Agreement.

Importantly:

QuoteImmigration officials agreed to provide minors with contact with family members with whom they were arrested, and to promptly reunite minors with their families. Efforts to reunify families are to continue as long as the minor is in custody. The Agreement did not stipulate that the government separate children from their parents.

It also required that minors be held no more than 20 days.  Another Federal Law Trump and Sessions are breaking.  It has been about 6 weeks since the first kids were stolen from their parents.

Good work as usual.

Conversely this is crass and awful, so I couldnt wait to post it.  Being able to laugh at ourselves from time-to-time helps us keep our perspective.

Is no abomination safe any more??   There's gonna be nowhere left where people can make a vile, disgusting, living anymore...!   I mean, sure, there is gonna be 'temp' work during the next Trump campaign, but what about the future??  What are these small operators to do??    Insert <Wringing of hands, gnashing of teeth> here.

Melania II works on her numbers:

Melania Trump makes surprise visit to border facilities

https://www.cnn.com/2018/06/21/politics/melania-trump-border-visit-immigration/index.html

By several accounts,  Melania was one of those pressuring Trump to do something, even calling him out specifically a day or so ago.   In general, other than her questionable taste in interior decoration, I have no issues with her and she's handling her role about as well as could be expected.

Especially by all accounts, it appears she cannot stand her husband.
