Best way to Cherry Street

Okay, getting from Cherry street to downtown is a breeze but vice-versa seems to be a pain. I normally take 11th when heading that way but your first road down to 15th (peoria) doesn't allow  left turns onto 15th. If you go down to 21st, you can't make a left onto peoria to go up to 15th either. The only viable choce is the oft-forgotten Cincinnati-Southbound to 15th street highway-style ramp. And that leaves you making a left turn onto 15th with no traffic signal. Last option is Main south to 15th.

Am I the only one that thinks this needs to change or am I just missing some obviously easy route? Shouldn't we be going out of our way to make it easy for people to get back and forth from one high profile area to the rest?

Like in the Movie Chillicothe (as best I remember it):
Blond: Which way is it to brookside?
Wade: Where are you from?

Taking Cincinnati to the BA on ramp and then taking the Utica Avenue exit is the quickest way I know.  The 8th Street on ramp is almost as fast but crossing from the far left lane to the far right lane to exit at Utica can be difficult at times.

Easy, from Peoria you turn left onto 14th and go one block turn right go one block and taadaa, 15th street where you can turn left.
It's hard being a Diamond in a rhinestone world.

Or go 11th to Utica, turn right to 15th & turn right. No left turns at all.

But if you go the way I do, you will miss ALL of those redlights.  We are talking about four at least.

Cincinnati to 15th Street is the fastest usually, but going down Boston Avenue might soon be the fastest after the make it a two way road.

And that left turn on to 15th Street from the Cincinnati overpass is an absolute breeze even during the peak traffic hours.

You could just follow 6th Street east to Peoria and go south to 15th from there.  Personally, I've never had any problem getting from downtown to Cherry Street.

Another way is to just follow 15th Street from Denver, Cheyenne, Main, Cincinnati or Boston.

Quite true. The 14th path to any of the lettered streets is the fastest, easiest, but eventually you do have to turn left onto a busy Cherry street. Get on 13th at Cincinnati and you can go all the way to Utica, turn right to 15th and you're there. One of the letter streets, St. Louis I think, is a good cut through from 13th to Full Moon. Got that?

has to be the fastest...

beyond that, i consider the cincinnati exit my personal high speed exit from downtown into maple ridge... rollin' out of the bars, down cincy, straight into the ridge makes me tingly...

Don't try that right now, the street has been blocked off due to trench work pretty close to two weeks now. Anybody know what they are doing there? Is it in anticipation of the properties on the west side of Utica between the Phillips 66 and the  B.A. being redeveloped?

Bottom line, its pretty easy to get to Cherry Street from downtown. Sometimes the city actually works.

Whatever happened to the rubber wheeled trolleys that were supposed to be running between the Downtown Districts, Cherry Street, SoBo, Brookside, etc.? With the PGA in town it would have added a nice touch and more ease of mobility for visitors.
