One of my fave homes on Utica Ave.  Looks like a Christmas post card.

Anyone know what the official title of this bronze statue is?  Its in woodward park on the edge of a small water feature along with a couple of little satyrs.

Artist, any luck on your new endeavor? I love your pics!

Ugh, haven't been working on figuring out how to do all of that.  Guess I need to get on it.  Need to find some place that I can trust to print my stuff up on canvas. Had an artist buddy of mine tell me the guy I was going to have print my stuff up, printed some of his work up on the side and sold it out of town. So not going to trust that place.  Will try Kinkos to print some up on photo paper. The challenge there is that even though some pics look just right on the monitor, often when you print them they are too dark, the colors off, etc.  Hard to get just right. Takes money, time and stress lol. Oh, and then there is designing the website, links, framing, matting, packaging, shipping, scheduling, pricing, having product in stock, maintaining the website, am I actually going to make any money, is it worth it etc. etc. lol

Yikes. I can see how you could get overwhelmed by it all.
In your spare time (ha ha), have you had or thought of having a show..
somewhere like Apertures Gallery for example? Maybe start off the photography on a smaller scale?
Good luck Artist ... if & when you kick off, I'd love to know about it.

I did some searching on the web for photos of Tulsa to show people I run into online what Tulsa has to offer.  I found some wonderful pics people have taken of different things around town, but not a whole lot.  So I have decided to take my little old digital camera and start taking some pics of the art and architecture of Tulsa.  I am just starting to learn how to take a decent photo and dont have a tripod so please excuse the fuzzy amateur nature of my first pics lol.  Hopefully I can afford a better camera with a tripod later this year, but I hope people will enjoy my "practice photos" for now.
What I would eventually like to do is create a book that has photos of the beautiful buildings, churches, mansions, art and architecture that Tulsa has.  I hope to be able to really show off the great assets we have in this town by using some creative artistry with the photos. I would like the book to be as definitive as possible, capturing what I see as the essence of the beauty of each church, building, and place I photograph.  I have a feeling this project is going to take me quite a few years but the result will be wonderful if I can pull it off.

Here is the start of the first photoblog of some pics I have taken this month.  Hope you enjoy and I will let you know when I get the chance to add more. http://www.flickr.com/photos/71912608@N00/
