Music and activism go together like peanut butter and jelly.  What if we were to tell Woody Guthrie to not express his opinions?  Even abolitionists used music to spread their message.  If you remove the meaning from music, well, then it would just be meaningless.  Yes, more musicians lean toward the liberal point of view (not too many Bob Roberts out there), but most artists do.  Whether you agree with them or not, the Dixie Chicks are following in a long line of musical activists.

She denigrates the NYFD and NYPD every time she spouts this nonsense.  Are you happy standing up for someone who calls into question the integrity and valor of the men and women who died trying to save innocent lives on 9/11?

Since 9/11, I've long believed that the men and women of New York's Fire Department and Police Department and EMSA are some of the most valiant people on the planet, and always have. Those are the true heroes of 9/11.

As for what I believe about it, my beliefs on what came about on that day are completely different than Ms. Garofalo's. But once again, her theories on the matter (as any other position she has ever taken), show she's done her homework, whether I agree or not (and I don't).  

And IP, don't be a Brian Kilmeade-you're obviously a smarter person than that.

No it simply proves that she listens conspiracy theorists and nutjobs.  If she did her homework she'd be singing a different tune.  Doing your "homework" doesn't mean adopting a position, sans the research.
