It shows Hilary Clinton ahead everywhere but Obama and Edwards close in two of the states. Rudy Guliani and McCain are neck and neck.
Power is nothing till you use it.

Barack Obama will end up pulling much higher numbers than this by primary time.

you must have smoked the same stuff Obama did.

I'm willing to make a wager with you.

I was suprised Obama's numbers were so low.

That being said, it is March of 2007 and we're getting into this election stuff way too early.  The candidates who waste too many resources getting ahead at a pointless time such as now will see their leads erode by the long time in the future we are actually at the polls voting.  It is probably better for Obama right now that he hasn't overtaken Hillary.  I hope someone other than McCain or Guilliani appears and fights for the republican spot.

Better yet, an independent could finally figure out how to garner some support without being a whore for corrupt issues.

Look at how much experience Bush had and you can see where we are now. So I am thinking his lack of experience is not such a bad thing.

Another plus that I see right off the bat with Obama is that we as a nation will never be embarrassed by Obamas public speaking ability.

Of course, it is early and I am looking forward to learning more about all the candidates.

I see more disadvantages than advantages to starting a campaign so early.

1) It gives the opponents more time to dig up dirt and expose warts.

2) The public will know more about a candidate after such a long campaign period and may tire of said candidate in such a long run.

3) Campaign costs are much higher for the extended travel, advertising, and campaing staffing.

We, as constituants and tax payers are getting stiffed as there are what, 6 or 7 active legislators who are more focused on being elected president than our nation's legislative business.  I believe a candidate should have to resign their seat in the Senate or House if they are running for higher office prior to an unexpired term.

Next observations, for two "candidates" who are not officially in the race, Fred Thompson and Newt Gingrich are pulling pretty good numbers amongst the GOP.

I will never vote for Gingrich.  I hold him to blame for much of the shrill partisanship we've had in the country since Clinton was elected.  I think he's also a phony conservative.  I felt prior to the "Contract For America" that politics was much more civil and there was room for more compromise.  Bright man, probably would be a great strategist for someone else's campaign, but I do not want to see him in public office again.

kennedy was a good public speaker too, but he had plenty of nefarious things going on behind closed doors.

Obama cant make it, because the republicans will start using his middle name and get all the stupid rednecks fired up over him.  the republicans have an amazing ability to mobilize the ignorant voters.
