I will join when they start patroling the Canadian border too. It is more unsecure then the southern border. Lets hope the terrorist dont find out about that one. [B)]

When we start getting massive influxes of Canadian refugees I'll worry about the Canadian border.  Unlike Mexico, Canada actually has stringent immigration policies, and although security is a facet of the debate, it is by no means the only one.

We need an orderly guest worker program, but allowing unfettered access to any and all who wish to cross our borders is an invitation for disaster, both economically and militarily.

You've got to be kidding!  Have you ever been to the Canadian border?  Do you know what it takes to cross at the Canadian border?  Having lived 25 miles from the border for many years, I will tell you it is as easy as driving up the Customs, telling them where you are going, and you are on your way.  Doesn't matter if you are crossing into Canada or crossing into the US.

And how do you know if we have or don't have massive influxes of Canadian refugees?   Because they aren't Hispanic?

First, I can tell there aren't massive numbers of Canadian refugees in America because out of the 20 guys doing landscaping in my neighborhood not one of them look like this:

And again, unlike Mexico, Canada pre-screens travelers and actually has enforcable border security of its own unlike Meyheeco.

Wisconsin is full of canadians. That is where they are sneaking through.

Free black armbands for all who attend and balloons and other goodies for the kids.

Wow, yeah, maybe a PR consultant would be a worthwhile investment.

How about "FREE CONSECUTIVELY NUMBERED TATOOS FOR THE BROWN KIDS!"

I wonder why the guy who started this thread hasn't posted ever again?

We be a snarky bunch.

Dude.  With all due respect.  You need to stand in front of a mirror and have a serious discussion about race.  If you are basing your reasoning on the appearance of someone who happens to work in the landscape business, you have some issues deeper then immigration.

Are you saying Canadians don't work landscape?  Are you saying Canadians get a free pass because you can't tell them from a 'normal' American?

Sounds like all of your immigration issues are centered around Hispanics.  Do you really believe they are the only ones who might be illegal?

Victims? Hmm, I have never thought of myself as a victim of an illegal immigrant. Seem like quite a stretch to me.

Have you had a family member die from the actions of an illegal immigrant yet?  If not, your post is pointless.

So all of the minutemen have had a family member die from illegal immigrants? Illegal immigrants dont come here to kill Americans. At least I dont remember ever seeing that as one of thier agendas.

I've got Church at that time, but I'll make every effort to get out there before it's over. I managed to make the last one.

On the subject of black armbands, they're a common sign of mourning. They're worn in remembrance of the dead and in support of their survivors.

Feliz Cinco de Mayo.....!

While I don't 100% agree with TJE, I wonder if that is part of the reason it makes such big news. Not the fact that they are immigrants, but more the fact that the illegal status is so well known.
