I don't know who is arranging this, but I'm glad someone is.  There are a few signs up in the neighborhood advertising a meeting this Thursday, June 14 at the Madeleine Church at 22nd and Harvard, 7 p.m.  I don't know if there is a preset topic list or not.

The topic was primarily the planned expansion of QuikTrip at 21st and Harvard.  They have purchased the property behind QT (Lassiter Photography Shop, two duplexes and one house.)
They plan to tear them down and build a new store 50% larger than the existing store (and
just behind it, so they can continue doing business) and double the number of pumps.

Although the house is zoned residential, and
the second duplex is Light Office, they intend to use a PUD (Planned Urban Development) so they wont' have to re-zone.

They'll move the driveway entrance further west on 21st. There'll be both a front and rear entrance to the store, but no curb cut on Gary Place.  They plan to build a 6-foot high brick wall around the property facing Gary.  They'll also use "Scottsdale (Arizona)" lighting so that lights won't shine into the neighborhood.

There were around 90 folks there.  Suggestions to the QuikTrip Real Estate Manager included
making Gary Place a cul-de-sac, an eight-foot brick wall, and shrubbery or small trees around the brick wall.  Tulsa City Counselor Maria Barnes and District 78 Representative Jeannie McDaniel were there.

Other topics included Neighborhood Crime Watch, and Florence Park Maintenance.
