I don't know how many of you like mexican food. But, Los Cabos, on the riverwalk, is really good. I recommend it to anyone who hasn't tried it. Their quacomole is excellent!

cannon_fodder

is ok.

Kind of reminds me of going to Los Cabos or somewhere like that... its a restaurant that serves Mexican food. nice enough, but doesnt seem special to me.  The outdoor area is particularly nice... still.  I prefer El Toro/El Porton/Blazin Peppers.

I like Teds Escondido on 71st better.

I like Los Cabos.  We've been going there every now and then since it opened.  You can't beat the atmosphere.

I never get into the argument over "authentic" Mexican food.  Far as I'm concerned "authentic" tastes like dirt.

I've eaten at Ted's once.  It was good.  I'd say the food was about the same as LC.  After awhile they all start to taste the same.

Los Cabos (original location) and Ted's both burned me customer service wise. I won't go to either.

I plan on going to El Guapo on or after July 15th to experience rooftop mexican. I like the river and mexican food and hope Los Cabos gets some competition soon so I have somewhere to eat.

I've been keeping a close eye on El Guapo's progress... If it opens this month I'd be surprised.

people recommended los cabos and teds for "good" mexican....I would hate to see what you consider "bad" mexican.

try Mexico Lindo or Compadres in BA for good AUTHENTIC mexican.

There is an outstanding Mexican place up on North Sheridan across from the Warehouse Market.  In the building where Willie's #2 or #3 Hamburger Joint once was.

They server a 1/4 Rotisserie Chicken for $1.85 complete with onions, lettuce and three corn tortillas and a brown salsa. 1/2 Chicken served the same way is around $3.00.

Speedy's at 23rd and South Sheridan is still one of my favorites for Mexican style food.  #19 Giant Chicken Buritto Golden coverd with melted cheese for around $3.45.  The Peach Iced Tea is pretty good too.  #53 Golden Chicken Enchiladas are not bad either.

I go to Las Americas at 3rd and Lewis for my authentic mexican. I think it's a bit better than Speedy's. South of the border at 51st & memorial isn't bad either, neither is Mexico Lindo in my book.

Have never tried any of those.  Was not aware there was a restaurant at Las Americas, thought it was a pawn shop or a store.  Have to try it.

Cancun at 7yh & Lewis across from Freddies's Hamburgers used to be pretty good, have not been there in a while.
