I was a bit confused when, on my way to El Guapo, I noticed major rehab work being done to the downtown adult theater. Are they fixing it up to sell or are they just trying to bring in a higher caliber of client?

Sgrizzle.... I don't know about the higher clientele... I was going home the other night and drove by the fine establishment that you speak of and saw a guy... he had to have been 50 or so... not in good shape but wearing a pair of daisy duke cuttoffs and a tank top that was way too small. Appeared he was waiting on someone to come out of the store. It was frightening and hilarious all at the sane time..

I noticed that when I was downtown the other day. At first I thought someone was remodeling another old building because it has scaffolding all around it. Then noticed that it looks like they are adding some sort of "contemporary" facade covering up the old brick. What a shame, just the opposite of what everyone else is trying to do in the area.  Then sadly noticed that the "adult theater" sign was untouched and being worked around.
