I try to avoid peeking at celeb stories, but sometimes the bait is just too great.

In order for poor Charlie to see his kids more he's asking his visitation rights be increased from every other weekend to the first, third, and fifth weekend of every month.

Of course I realize some of you who are comprehension-challenged won't get this.

He also wants to use his own nannies when the kids are with him, not those of his ex.

How touching.

I know that every month doesn't have a fifth weekend however, that's common visitation language. It IS confusing.

When Saturday is the first day of the month, that's the first weekend. If the first day of the month falls on a Sunday, that weekend is not considered the first weekend of the month. The last day of the month has to be a Saturday or a Sunday in order for that weekend to be considered as a fifth weekend. But sometimes it's just the fourth weekend. [Tongue]

September this year has a fifth weekend. So he'd get them two weekends in a row.

Thanks my head is spinning doing the day math. [Wink]

Point taken, though the wording makes it sound as if he's going to have them the fifth weekend of every month, which does not happen every month.

I was also deeply touched that he wanted to select his own nannies to foist the kids off onto when he has his visitation.  What a great dad!

Maybe Penn, Glover, Shehan, et. al. will build a commune in Venezuela and permanently disappear to there.

I was never what one would call a big fan of Charlie Sheen-his father Martin and his brother Emilio Estevez obviously have the talent in that clan. And as for Charlie-just how did he wreck his marriage to Denise Richards in the first place?
