I like Fleming's, Red Rock Canyon Cafe, and Mahogany's.

What about the rest of you?

Wilbur

Louie's, Fox & Hound, McNellies, The Brook.

Note the beer theme!

tulsascoot

Dalesandro's makes some pretty mean Italian. If you can catch them when they are open, Ichiban Teriyaki makes the best non sushi Japanese around. and Rio Verde for Mexican can't be beat.

White River
Savoy
Savastanos (ok its Fashhhhhhionable North Bixby)

Somebody beat on the Ellis' door and tell them to reopen the East Side.

All places run by Tulsa Folks who dont experiment with "restaurant concepts."

Although I am guilty of performing chemical experiments at the bar at Louies....

Experimenting with Tulsa Restaurants since 1956 and have to body to prove it!

Ollie's, Ron's, Pomodori's, Las America's, El Guapo, Crow Creek, Brother's Pizza, Brothers Houligan, Knotty Pine, Caz's Chowhouse, etc. etc.

I like to eat.

My best two meals in the last year came from Stone Horse Cafe and the French Hen

Geeze, Der Teufel, do you go out to eat three times a year or simply have an unlimited dining budget?  With admittedly limited encounters, I've found two of your three choices significantly overpriced for their fine offerings. The third still awaits my inagural visit.

For far more casual dining, this household prefers BBQ brisket take-out at the take-out-only Wrangler's, burgers and fresh pie at the not-aging-gracefully Brownie's, and the ample portions of tasty surf and turf at McGill's.

That said, I heard a rumor that the famed Ruth's Chris Steak House chain is headed this way.  Anyone here have any information on that?

AMP

Jamil's & Eddy's - Juicy Charcoaled Steaks r

Freeway Cafe-lunch/dinner- 8 Specials each day

Family Diner -  Heavenly Pies

Golden Saddle Buffet - Grazing Time

Mario's Pizza - Lunch

Speedy's on Sheridan Mexican best quality, quantity and price

Heros Sandwich Admiral & Sheridan - Lunch Steak & Cheese sandwich - Cabbage Rolls, Tabouli & Humas

Tally's - Breakfast  - Big ham steak!

Harden's Hamburgers - Lunch - Cheeseburger Steak

I too wish Eastside would reopen.  Best O' Rings in town at the best price.  Free Way Cafe has or had the guy that made them at Eastside, they are very close, but now $4.99 an order.

Wingnut

I like the Golden Corral in Owasso for the breakfast buffet. It's the best one I've found lately. I used to go to Ollie's but the service wasn't too good after it was sold.
El Chico's is always good for mexican food.
Tin Star has a pretty good chicken fried steak.
Texas Roadhouse has a lot of good stuff to eat. The rolls are wonderful.

Who has the best chicken fried steak in Tulsa?

Savastano's???

I tried that place and got a pizza that was tasteless and the dough wasn't even cooked!

That rumor has been around for at least 10 years...

Mario's Pizzeria - absolutely wonderful, absolutely best pizza in Tulsa.

Napoli's Italian in BA - really good and reasonably priced.

Las Americas for mexican lunch.

White River for seafood.

Hooters for wings.

sgrizzle

I think Hooters puts all their effort into ambiance. I like Wing Run for when I don't care about the ambiance.

I always do take-out from Hooters. I feel absolutely stupid in that atmosphere. Maybe if I was in my 20's it wouldn't be so uncomfortable.

Interesting in that one of their eastern U.S. franchise holders and his wife are Tulsa natives.
