From your travels, which restaurants or styles of food would you most like to see locate in Tulsa?

I always enjoyed the Maid-Rite loose burgers in Iowa.

So my vote is for Maid-Rite

What are your choices?

I'm from Iowa, the first time I went to a Maid-Rite (maybe i was 12-13) they asked me if I wanted my burger made right... puzzled, I responded that of course I did.  I was in great despair when they gave me a sloppy joe.  [:P]

Taco John's.

6 Tacos and a pound Potato Olay's (tater' tots with mexican spices) for like $5.  Mmmm.

you need to add it to your "restaurants we used to have thread"... a loose meat burger (mayo, american and jalapenos), a pepsi and a dip cone- i was in heaven... alas, they only made it three years... on 21st, close to memeorial- next to where nam hai's first asian grocery used to be...

I think we need to have a chain called "COOTER'S" and a bunch of guys with half shirts on with beer bellies sticking out serve you.  Granted I won't be there but I'm sure there's a niche for someone.

In the "be careful what you wish for" category:

Pearl's.  The one I used to eat at in OKC was great.  The one in Tulsa sucked.

Shizen Sushi.

Makes In The Raw, Tsunami, and Fuji taste like bait.

The only sushi I had here was at World Buffett and it tasted like what a Big Toe off of a cadaver would taste like.  I politely spewed it into my napkin and that was it for me.  Then, while vacationing in Carlsbad a couple of months ago, I tried seared Ahi and loved it.

In N Out Rules!

Those and the Steak n Shakes are on our always  food stops when traveling on the circuit.  One, they always seem to have large parking lots nearby to park the large coach, and most are consistent with food quality.

I have to stop at the In N Out in Phoenix and always along the path to California in Barstow in the desert at the one near the outlet mall.  That location always has a long line, while the lonely Mickey Dees down the street sits run down and empty looking.

A giant green flag for an In N Out Burger in Tulsa.   Need to be near the Universities.

Rubios. Then again, I'd settle for any place that could make a good NOT fried fish taco.

Baja Fresh!! Not sure if it is a chain, but Black Angus would be good. I know they have two in CA.

Black Angus is a chain, it used to be called Stuart Andersons Black Angus. They do have good food and some good specials as well.

A place we have here that if I moved back to Tulsa is Arriba Mexican Grill. The first time my wife and I went was during the Hatch Chile Festival. We were having appitizers at the bar when we thought the A/C had gone out, then we realised that it was the chiles warming us up. It's not the instant heat but a come back type.
