What kind of food do they serve?

Sonoma, where Prive used to be and owned by the folks from the Brasserie, will be opening to the public this weekend.  I have not seen the menu yet, but will definitely be checking it out.  I like the Brasserie.

Didn't know it was gone.  Shows how much time I spend on Brookside these days.

What's ever become of "Davo"?

I read that Copelands is getting ready to open on 71st east of Garnett.  I think I might go have a Po'boy and some etouffee.

I also noticed a sign up at the old Grapevine announcing Twist.  Is it going to be a bar/restaurant or just a bar?

Another soon to open sign is for Pure Cafe on Harvard in the same strip center where that british place used to be between 31st and 41st.

Does anyone have any info on either of these places?

Pure Cafe? Prepared dinners to go?

Are there too many restaurants? Seems like there may not be enough good chefs....

I have been twice now to 3316, the restaurant that took over the Brookside Thai place.  It has a nice urban feel inside.  The menu is pretty balanced and not overpriced, most everything is under $20.  The Tenderloin Diablo is very nice, the tamales are well presented with a good fresh salsa.  Service can get a bit slow if they are real busy.  I want to go try their sunday brunch.  I know nothing about the chef, if he is local or where he worked before 3316.  Check it out.

Copelands is actually a restaurant chain, which had started in the New Orleans area. Whenever my parents would come down to visit, or if my father or my older brother would find themselves in the area due to their work (my father was an airline pilot, as is my older brother), I'd take them there. When I returned here, my dad told me that there was a Copelands in the area, and so me and my parents meet there regularly these days.

I tooooooootally agree about Keo... I'm obsessed!  The service is usually pretty slow, but I don't care because the food is so good.  And I usually call it in and get it to go anyway [^]
