To me every time I see OSU play. I wonder if Gundy was the right choice as head coach. They would of been better off signing John Blake.

Porky

This will probably be Huston Nutts last year at Arkansas, hopefully the Cowboys can sign him up.

OSU's biggest mistake was selling their souls to the Devil a.k.a. T.Boone Nosepicker......They also should have been more humble and honest with themselves, players and fans.....They made the team out to be something it was not with the whole "Greatest Offense in the Country"......Now they are suffering the backlash.....They really need to start over with fundemental football.....Beginning with special teams...defense...and then offense....Which really should have began last spring.....

Bread...  for a football program $250,000,000 is way more than the going rate for a soul.  That will pay dividends for decades to come.  They will start to see those returns in the next couple of years when the recruits it brought in and the facilities it built start becoming active.

as for Gundy, he probably has 2 more years.  If he is not producing at least consistent bowl births by then he's gone.  With the aforementioned facilities and cash they should be able to draw their pick from the "also ran" coaching brackets.

Some that will be available:
1) Bring in another Stoops.  Mike hasnt been making bacon at Arizona.  4 years without a winning season is not good news.
2) Charlie Weis.  Easy to win when the black man stocks the recruits and you kick him to the curb.  Jerks.
3) Houston Nutt.  Stay close to home, start a rivalry with Tulsa... and lose.
4) Dennis Franchione.  The other aggies are getting tired of mediocrity.

There might also be some SEC (Tommy Tubberville) or Pac 10 leftovers (UCLA's Dorrell) if they are in the market.

In other news, Gunfy has ascended to the top 10 for at risk coaches:

Not with Nosepicker calling the shots....OSU is in deep doodoo.....Gundy is not head coach material....

the 'best offense in the universe' and the 'worst defense in the universe' on the same team?   Who woulda thunk it.

What's with OSU throwing tons of money at unproven head coaches, without any HC experience?  Given these six figure jobs, based only on a name.  Speaking of which I'd heard Dexter Manly is being considered for Dean of Arts & Sciences.

I think Gundy needs to go. GTFO.  Leave while you can on your terms and still keep a shred of dignity.  He still might have the chance to EARN your way to a head coaching job, at a particularly good high school or some 'directional' university.
